Job Summary
Design, program, install, and maintain computerized building automation systems for HVAC, lighting, and security; troubleshoot control systems and networks, calibrate field devices, and ensure safety/compliance; perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance; collaborate with contractors, vendors, and facility staff to implement upgrades and new technology; provide education and training to Facilities Engineering team on installation and operations of automated systems controls equipment and computerized controls functions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent technical experience
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in building automation or HVAC controls
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CEM - Certified Energy Manager, LEED) are highly valued
- Experience with programming and graphics software for platforms including Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Delta and Schneider
- Proficient in HVAC systems, Low Voltage electrical circuits, and building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks)
