Building Automation Area Service Manager

Job Summary
Oversee service coordination to respond efficiently to customers, manage technician training and skill levels, and leverage resources across the area. Execute emergency repairs, regular maintenance contracts, scheduled work, upgrades, installations, and long-term service agreements. Attract, coach, counsel, and develop all service employees while driving continuous improvement through performance management and technical training. Maximize cash flow by ensuring immediate invoice generation, managing expense budgets, and increasing service team utilization. Ensure standard service processes are followed and that environmental, health, and safety compliance is maintained across shop and customer sites. Travel to customer job sites for outdoor work and mechanical/equipment room inspections is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of four (4) years' experience in an industrial sales business setting
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in managing teams of people, processes, and budgets
- Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems preferred
- Knowledge of Salesforce preferred
