Job Summary
Clean and set up all rooms and building areas as scheduled, ensuring every space is maintained and stocked with refreshments, seating, and equipment for ministries. Prepare and clean the Baptistery, stock restrooms and kitchens, and maintain grounds by removing trash and keeping sidewalks clear. Clean glass doors and windows, and prepare communion trays for weekend services while replenishing supplies as needed. Act as a liaison with all departments by reviewing daily setup instructions and anticipating ministry needs to provide excellent service. Report any unsafe conditions or areas requiring repair immediately. This role supports the Operations team in guiding people to follow Jesus moment by moment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write
- One (1) year experience in labor, maintenance or related field
- Knowledge of cleaning materials, methods, equipment and procedures
- Knowledge of basic use and maintenance of cleaning equipment
- Ability to readily learn repetitive task
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to work with occasional flexibility in schedule
- Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with ministry volunteers
- Ability to perform all the physical, intellectual, and analytical requirements of the position including decision making
- Constantly lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds
- Visual acuity, speech and hearing
- Hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate radio communication devices and basic office equipment
- Constantly required to stand, walk, push, squat, kneel, lift from the floor, and use hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to reach above and below shoulder level, lift bulky items, and climb stairs
- Occasionally an employee will be required to balance and climb ladders
Desired Qualifications
- Attends Membership Class and becomes a member within three (3) months of employment (Preferred)
