Job Summary
Building and Construction Trades Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction and hands-on training across HVAC/R and Controls, Commercial Equipment and Repair, Structural Building Repair, Plumbing Applications, and Tiling/Flooring/General Repairs; responsibilities include teaching classes, assisting with curriculum and materials, maintaining student records, managing classroom and lab spaces, submitting reports, coordinating with campus leadership, and supporting equipment/inventory needs while participating in mandatory trainings and meetings. Must hold OSHA 10 and EPA 608 certifications within 6 months of hire, and have a High School Diploma or GED plus at least 3 years of hands-on building trades experience; ability to work independently or as part of a team, with strong communication and organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office tools.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification within 6 months of hire date
- EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Transition Certification within 6 months of hire date
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum three (3) years of hands-on practical experience in the building and construction trades
- Ability to work in fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment
- Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, multi-task
- Strong communication and customer service in educational setting
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)
