Job Summary
Lead underwriting decisions for Builder’s Risk property construction business in the US, with ownership of underwriting decisions, broker and customer relationship development, and portfolio performance. Responsibilities include technically assessing complex propositions, analyzing catastrophe exposures, pricing, defining coverage, and mentoring underwriters to maintain underwriting discipline. Requires strong analytical capability, credibility, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-border (US/UK) team environment. Travel within the United States and to London is required. Must have substantial experience (10+ years) in Builder’s Risk underwriting and a BA/BS degree (engineering degree a plus).

- Minimum 10 years’ Builder’s Risk underwriting experience
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel within the US and to London
- Experience with catastrophe modelling and pricing for multi-year construction policies
- Proven broker relationships and portfolio management
