Job Summary
Oversee the timely construction of each home from foundation to warranty signoff, supervising on-site construction staff and coordinating subcontractors, inspectors and suppliers. Ensure high quality results within budget while upholding Mattamy’s standards, walking homes daily to check for imperfections and building-code compliance, and conducting homeowner frame walks. Manage the Production Schedule, enforce safety and quality standards, and mentor staff to maintain a clean, aesthetically appealing and safe on-site environment. Communicate effectively with site and head office teams to ensure smooth production and timely municipal inspections, while continuously supporting a positive homeowner experience and adherence to Mattamy Construction Processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years residential construction management experience
- Post-secondary education in Construction Engineering Technology
- Extensive knowledge of Alberta Building Code and Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of contracts, plans, and specifications; understanding of trades, staffing, scheduling, and scopes of work
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with cost and budget tracking
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to train and mentor staff with leadership
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office; BuildPro or ERP experience is a plus
