Job Summary
Builder 2 performs advanced cabinet-building tasks in a manufacturing setting for Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The role requires learning and executing diverse tasks, understanding fasteners and hardware, and proficient use of hand tools (drill gun, staple gun, glue gun, etc.). The incumbent will learn a variety of paint/stain colors and wood species, operate saws, and set up machines. Opportunities exist to advance to Builder 3 after 1+ year of Builder 1 or Builder 2 experience with expanded cabinet knowledge. Primary duties include reading paperwork/labels, following safety guidelines, maintaining speed in a fast-paced environment, and adhering to daily work assignments; the position is full-time and nonexempt in a manufacturing environment, with potential for evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
- Must be able to read paperwork and/or labels.
- Must be proficient in reading a tape measure.
- Ability to stay-on-task, follow safety guidelines and work process procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a self-starter who works well and can follow a list of daily work assignments.
