Job Summary
Entry-level budget-focused role performing development and review of school/department budgets under supervision. Assists with preparing and balancing spring and fall budgets, advises administrators on budget development, reviews and processes setup for positions and outside-contract payments, assembles fiscal information for budget preparation, reviews documentation for completeness, monitors expenditures, analyzes cost coding for expenditures, maintains directives and budget documents, develops forms and procedures, and handles budget-related inquiries including SAP issues, budget transfers, and year-end closing.
Required Qualifications
- Four (4) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in financial and budgetary analysis
- Experience with a large, complex organization such as a public school district or state department of education preferred
- Valid Florida Driver's license may be required prior to appointment and, if required, must be maintained during employment in this class
- May be required to furnish a personal auto for which mileage reimbursement will be paid
