Job Summary
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems, expenditures, and funding trends to monitor budget execution and identify variances. Support design, implementation, and management of mechanisms for collecting and tracking metrics impacting portfolio activities. Develop spreadsheet models, dashboards, and visual analytics products to transform financial information into leadership-ready reporting for executive briefings. Prepare projections, scenario analyses, and recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports while maintaining data integrity across tools. Coordinate with program managers to validate financial information and assist with reconciliation activities and documentation. Requires eight to sixteen years of budget analysis experience, preferably in a Federal environment, with strong Excel and Smartsheet skills. Located in Silver Spring, MD, with a hybrid work schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Budget Analyst experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- Eight to sixteen years of budget analysis or financial management experience, preferably in a Federal environment
- Experience developing financial models, dashboards, forecasts, and reporting products
- Expert knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint and Google Slides
- Experience with formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, charts, and dashboard development
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Experience supporting financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using Smartsheet
