Job Summary
Disassemble, clean, sanitize, reassemble, and test-run the line seven scaling and feeding system prior to the first shift start up. Responsibilities include washing buckets, sticks, pallets, and related components; operating garbage and cardboard compactors; keeping formulation and stuffing areas stocked with clean buckets and sticks; inspecting areas to prevent buildup of garbage and cardboard; weekly cleaning of exterior areas; ensuring a safe, quality food product by reporting food safety or quality issues to supervision or QA. No supervisory duties; no prior experience required. Physical demands include extended standing, frequent lifting of heavy objects, and exposure to loud, cold, and wet conditions in a food-processing environment.
Required Qualifications
- No prior experience or training necessary; or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Ability to read English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Physical ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, taste or smell; capable of lifting and moving heavy objects as described
