Job Summary
Instruct students on driving laws, regulations, and safe driving skills through one-on-one lessons in a company-provided vehicle. Build student confidence and practical driving skills in various conditions while accurately notating progress on DriveSafe materials and state compliance forms. Provide feedback to students and family members to enhance learning and clean and service the vehicle at the end of each shift. Submit scheduling availability and timekeeping information according to policies and procedures. Work between 16 and 40 hours per week, with weekends being the busiest shifts requiring at least 8 hours.
Required Qualifications
- 23 years of age or older
- Colorado Driver's License
- Safe driving history - a Motor Vehicle Record check will be reviewed
- Applicants must pass a criminal background check
- Demonstrated teaching or mentoring abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic computer literacy including familiarity/comfort using software applications and the ability to adapt and learn new digital tools as needed
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Operating a motor vehicle (compact sedans e.g. Toyota Corolla)
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in tight and confined spaces
- Remaining in a stationary sitting position for prolonged periods
- Moving objects up to 25 pounds
- Commitment to a regular weekly schedule of at least 16 hours (and up to 40 hours) per week
- Availability for weekends
- At least 8 hours each weekend
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
