Job Summary
Prepare quality food on time for meals, ensuring resident satisfaction through communication with front house staff. Enforce safety and sanitation programs, follow standard culinary practices, and assist the Executive Chef in developing new menus. Train new kitchen staff, evaluate cooks and utility staff, and maintain department compliance with OSHA standards. Work as a team with coworkers, follow purchasing procedures, and report disciplinary issues to the Dining Services Director. Maintain work areas and demonstrate community hospitality promises to residents, families, associates, and vendors. Act in accordance with department policies and remain on-call during critical operating issues or emergencies.
