Job Summary
Monitor PLC readout screens, interpret data, and make appropriate adjustments while safely operating a loader to move and mix feed into the breaker unit. Operate the separation circuit, BSN baghouse, scrubber systems, and polypropylene system, preparing material for shipment. Assist with the acid neutralization circuit and water plant, serving as backup to the BSN Operator when needed. Complete machinery pre-shift inspections and train new employees as required. Perform all tasks in a safe, environmentally compliant manner by following EHS policies, reporting unsafe conditions, and supporting continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience
- Experience with PLC operation
- Operating mobile equipment
- 5S/Lean manufacturing
- Familiarity with PLC systems
- Process monitoring
- Ability to follow environmental, health, and safety rules
- Knowledge of spill cleanup regulations
- Knowledge of material loading and unloading procedures
- Ability to identify feed material
- Ability to complete machinery and equipment pre-shift inspections thoroughly
- Working knowledge of the BSN process
- Familiarity with baghouse and water plant operations
- Good time management skills
- Ability to maintain the cleanliness of facilities and equipment
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Frequently required to lift 25 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to grasp, push, and reach with hands/arms
- Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, and feel attributes of objects
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less
- Three-dimensional vision
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Ability to judge distance and spatial relationships
