BSN Nurse - Instructor - Full Time

Job Summary
Instruct students in the Ross curriculum, review lesson plans, and prepare for class instruction. Grade assignments, electronically record student proficiencies and attendance in campus management software, and actively promote student retention. Support externship activities as applicable while embodying core values of humility, kindness, and accountability. This role requires a BSN or higher with two years of direct patient care experience and current Michigan licensure. Prior teaching experience is preferred, with a focus on Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Psychiatric, or Complex Care. The position offers a Monday-Friday daytime schedule with a winter start at our Grand Rapids campus.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an approved registered nursing education program, BSN or higher
- Must be able to teach in the classroom
- Two or more years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Michigan
- Adhere to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics
- Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
- Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
- Sufficient ability to move around the building and classroom to satisfy student needs and/or facilitate student participation
