Job Summary
BSN Instructor- Per Diem duties include collaborating with other instructors to prepare, administer, and grade examinations, ensuring attendance and submitting grades, assisting with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives, orienting new faculty to theory and clinical facilities, applying adult-learning principles, improving instructional quality, utilizing online activities to enhance course content, maintaining student records and program data, submitting required reports to the Director, staying current with safety regulations, participating in committee work, planning and supervising student clinical experiences in health care facilities, evaluating student performance against clinical outcomes, providing timely feedback, and facilitating ongoing communication with students. Required qualifications include an active RN license, a Master of Nursing or higher, at least four years of direct patient care experience, a year of recent clinical experience, and expertise in a nursing area such as Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, or Mental Health. The role is in-person at Boise, ID, with remote options indicated as in-person.,
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing
- Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education, administration (OB, Pediatrics or Psychiatry)
- At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- A year of Clinical experience within the last five years (Clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care)
- Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing – Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, Mental Health
