Job Summary
Collaborate with instructors to prepare, administer, and grade examinations while planning and supervising student clinical experiences in assigned healthcare facilities. Evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes, provide immediate feedback after observations, and ensure clinical assignments meet both student and facility needs. Maintain student records for attendance and skills check-offs, submit required program reports to the Director, and participate in faculty meetings and committee activities. Assist with strategic planning for instructional initiatives, plan orientation for new faculty, and utilize principles of adult learning to enhance interactive teaching. Ensure clinical facilities meet all health and safety requirements and communicate with students via office hours and electronic channels.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered Nursing
- Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education, administration. OB, Pediatrics or Psychiatry
- At least four years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
- A year of Clinical experience within the last five years (Clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care)
- Clinically competent as defined in CCR Section 1420(c)
- Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing – Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, Mental Health
