BSA & QC Specialist

Job Summary
Assist the BSA Officer to ensure banking activities comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act; review documents and files for regulatory compliance; file required reports (e.g., Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports); review AML alerts daily and respond to escalations; assist with Marijuana-Related Business Account program guidance; support Enterprise Risk Management, Vendor Management, and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity programs; contribute to security of the credit union, and perform quality control reviews of imaged documents and records; coordinate with outside auditors to align audit and risk programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and/or some related college course work
- One year similar or related work experience in a credit union or financial institution preferred
- Bank Secrecy Act experience preferred
- Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions
- Ability to comprehend complex functions and procedures and disseminate knowledge clearly
- Ability to prepare and maintain confidential records and reports
- Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts and develop solutions
- Ability to analyze statistics and financial data
- Ability to effectively review documents
- Ability to assess needs of multiple members and prioritize requests to ensure high quality service
- Ability to work within precise standardized guidelines with some latitude to make decisions
- Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to perform necessary computer related input
- BSA, AML, OFAC, and SAR reporting duties
- Quality control and audit coordination
- Vendor Management and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity support
- Physical security procedures and access control
