Job Summary
Oversee the Credit Union's BSA/AML, CIP, EDD, OFAC, and ID Theft Red Flags programs to identify and prevent regulatory violations. Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to ensure policies remain compliant, while developing, reviewing, and updating procedures in response to changing laws. Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies, then lead investigations into suspicious activities, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary. Ensure timely submission of Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports to regulatory authorities. Direct the BSA Compliance team, managing analysts and delivering training programs to foster a culture of vigilance. Stay abreast of technological advancements in fraud prevention tools and collaborate with legal and risk management stakeholders to enforce internal policy compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years' experience in areas of BSA/AML/OFAC and financial crimes
- 5 or more years of risk and/or compliance experience
- 3+ years' leadership experience
- Functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act
- Functional knowledge of other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act
- Hybrid work arrangement (2x/week in office)
- Full-Time/40 hours per week
- Exempt classification

- Compliance and/or Risk management certifications (NCBSO, BSACS, CUCE, CAMS, CFE)
