Job Summary
BRYT Academic Coordinator within GLTS School Counseling supports students returning after extended absences due to mental health, medical, or other challenges. Responsibilities include communicating with teachers to identify and prioritize student work, developing transition plans, collaborating with school adjustment counselors and social workers, assisting reintegration into classes, providing direct academic support and tutoring, maintaining progress tracking, and documenting attendance and program participation. The role emphasizes creating a therapeutic classroom environment, assessing student progress with regular progress reports, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Proficiency in Google Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Word is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required
- Previous experience in an academic setting is preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Human Services, or Related field preferred. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
