Job Summary
Conduct pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer, properly document all freight control processes, and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Read maps, road signs, shipping papers, and hazardous materials markings; affix correct placards when necessary. Assist customers in preparing shipping papers and interact with internal and external customers. Participate in training and improvement programs while adhering to operational procedures in the Driver/Dockworker Manual. Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts, and assignments. Requires a valid Class C CDL, DOT physical, and at least one year of commercial driving experience. Full-time pay begins at $25.25 per hour with overtime after 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years of age
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class C CDL
- Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card
- No DUI, Citation/Conviction for Reckless Operation in the past 3 years
- Less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments
