Job Summary
Lead all campus safety functions, including physical security, emergency readiness, incident response, and traffic safety. Optimize the campus security ecosystem through rigorous monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement while supervising contracted security personnel. Manage response protocols, drills, and team training to ensure 100% readiness for any scenario. Serve as Campus Incident Commander, leading response, communication, and post-incident analysis to drive corrective actions. Direct arrival/dismissal operations and coordinate with crossing guards to ensure safe scholar transit. Collaborate with school operations to deliver impactful safety training for staff, scholars, and families. Analyze metrics across incident trends, drill performance, and technology reliability to drive data-informed decisions and implement continuous improvements.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- 5–8+ years leading security, emergency management, campus operations, or public safety in a complex environment
- Experience supervising contracted security personnel
- Demonstrated success leading emergency preparedness and incident response
- Experience managing security technology systems, including access control and surveillance
- Strong project management and operational leadership skills
- Excellent judgment under pressure
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong partnerships across diverse stakeholder groups
