Job Summary
Conduct daily sourcing calls to secure consistent truck capacity from qualified carriers meeting compliance guidelines. Book contract expedite and ad-hoc freight, respond to customer quotations within five minutes, and proactively track all booked shipments. Troubleshoot carrier delays, breakdowns, and order exceptions while communicating accessorial charges to ensure approval. Handle overages, shortages, and freight claims, then own corrective actions to identify process improvements. Schedule pick-ups and deliveries, prepare for quarterly business reviews, and ensure all metrics exceed customer SLAs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 3+ years Experience in logistics / transportation
