Job Summary
Manage and develop client and Willis Re relationships in Asia to grow the portfolio, targeting and converting prospects while retaining existing business. Understand client situations, opportunities, problems, and key issues to negotiate placement with the reinsurance market and structure deals. Prepare presentations considering client profitability, work with account executives to determine solutions and pricing, and identify appropriate markets for placing strategies. Create relationships with underwriters in London and international markets, ensuring ongoing compliance with internal guidelines. Provide technical, industry, and subject matter expertise as required, leveraging advanced modeling and analytical capabilities to deliver efficient reinsurance outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Degree, ACII or equivalent qualifications
- A proven track record in Reinsurance Broking or Underwriting
- A good knowledge of the Reinsurance market in Asia
- Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent technical skill
- Good presentation abilities
- Ability to assimilate and apply large volumes of information rapidly
- Negotiation skills coupled with the ability to be flexible and innovative
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
- Ability to prioritise, manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to adapt personal style to work effectively with a wide range of clients, colleagues and underwriters
- Must be prepared to work with integrity and openness, always complying with FCA requirements
- Good IT skills with excellent Excel usage capability
