Job Summary
Provide regulatory oversight and professional judgment to establish and maintain a compliant brokerage operation in the Denver market. Serve as the designated Broker of Record and primary regulatory authority, offering guidance on Colorado real estate laws, policies, and trust account requirements. Review brokerage procedures and transaction practices from a compliance perspective while supporting audits, inquiries, and licensing needs with applicable regulatory bodies. Partner with executive leadership to guide risk management and help establish a culture of integrity and accountability. This role balances regulatory compliance with commercial realities for a new NAI-affiliated brokerage launched by Dexterra Group.
Required Qualifications
- Active Colorado real estate broker license in good standing
- Eligibility and willingness to serve as the brokerage's Broker of Record / Employing Broker
- Significant experience within a real estate brokerage environment, ideally in commercial real estate
- Strong knowledge of Colorado real estate regulations, brokerage compliance requirements and professional standards
- Sound judgment, credibility and the confidence to provide independent oversight when required
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively with business leaders, brokers, legal and finance professionals, and administrative teams
- A practical approach that balances regulatory compliance with commercial realities
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience serving as a Broker of Record, Employing Broker, Managing Broker or Brokerage Manager
- Commercial real estate brokerage experience
- Exposure to a national or international brokerage network
- Familiarity with commercial property management, facilities management or related real estate service lines
- Experience helping establish or scale a growing brokerage operation
