Job Summary
Execute the end-to-end monthly accounting close for three SEC-registered broker-dealers, ensuring timely and compliant financial statements. Prepare monthly and quarterly FINRA filings, including FOCUS Reports and Net Capital computations, while monitoring daily net capital needs. Support year-end GAAP audits with external auditors and respond to regulatory examination inquiries by providing necessary documentation. Maintain comprehensive records of close processes, accounting policies, and regulatory filings to support audit and compliance readiness. Respond to ad-hoc requests and assist with ongoing department process improvement initiatives. This role offers rapid skill development within a diverse set of trading businesses and private investments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- At least 2 years focused on broker-dealer accounting
- Willingness to pass Series 27 exam within one year of joining
- Strong analytical skills
