Broadcast Technician

Job Summary
Maintain and troubleshoot all onboard broadcast equipment, including audio, video, satellite, cable, and network systems, while performing regular maintenance checks to ensure proper function. Set up and operate equipment for live events and broadcasts, such as concerts and shows, and monitor signals to guarantee high-quality transmission. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs, collaborate with crew members on entertainment events, and recommend technology upgrades. Adhere to safety protocols and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays while living onboard a cruise ship for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Broadcast Technician or in a similar role
- Technical knowledge and experience with audio and video systems, satellite and cable systems, and internet and network systems
- Familiarity with live event production and broadcast operations
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work and live onboard a cruise ship for extended periods of time
