Job Summary

Broadband Technician (Copper) needed to install and service fiber optic and copper-based networks in customer environments. Responsibilities include reading project prints and tickets, running jumpers, installing and testing fiber/copper drops (aerial, buried, plenum), configuring customer-owned devices, educating customers on internet access, and working with VOIP, routers, and home networking. Requires ability to use test equipment, basic electrical knowledge, ladder safety, and comfort working in attics or crawl spaces. Must have own vehicle and tools. OSHA safety compliance and experience with COAX, CAT5/CAT6, MOCA, and Wi‐Fi technologies are needed; knowledge of xDSL variations and fiber/copper facilities is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to read layouts, follow instructions, and interpret test results is essential; experience with COAX/CAT5 wiring, ONT installations, and NID devices is mentioned.
