Job Summary

Prepare and review court documents, record proceedings, maintain exhibits, and ensure accurate file processing for pre-court, in-court, and post-court duties. Support the administration of justice by working with the judiciary, legal professionals, and the public to deliver accessible court services. Maintain exhibits and manage court registry operations while collaborating with colleagues across Court Administration and justice sector partners. This part-time role in Courtenay requires on-site presence and enhanced security screening.

Required Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
  • 1 year of experience working in an office environment
  • A combination of 1 year of customer service, clerical duties, office experience and education
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, standard computer applications and software programs (e.g., Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • 40 WPM keyboarding/typing
  • Enhanced Security Screening

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Court Programs and Applications (JUSTIN, CEIS, ARC, CTAS, CCD)
  • Experience as a court clerk and/or registry clerk
  • 1 year of previous work experience in a court or legal environment
