Job Summary
Carrying out daily laboratory work to identify bacterial and fungal pathogens, perform antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and use molecular diagnostics to support accurate results. Maintain quality standards, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to improving testing methods within a collaborative team. Work to support veterinarians, animal owners, and communities by helping manage diseases, protect food safety, and reduce risks to public health. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or Medical Laboratory Science
- minimum two years experience in microbiology and molecular diagnostics
- Experience performing molecular biological techniques (e.g. convention and real-time PCR)
- Experience with new diagnostic tools (such as BIOMIC, MALDI-TOF and Whole Genome Sequencing)
- Experience operating a variety of technical equipment in microbiology laboratory.
