Job Summary

Plan, manage, and administer provincial general elections, by-elections, and other electoral events within assigned districts. Serve as a local representative of the Chief Electoral Officer, ensuring impartial, fair, and inclusive elections while maintaining a positive, transparent, and accountable culture. Lead diverse workforces and manage material, human, and financial resources with solid project management skills and excellent judgment. Commit part-time hours to event readiness but be prepared to work extended periods during election periods. Represent Elections BC's values and ethics as a recognized leader in electoral administration across British Columbia.

Required Qualifications

  • broad management experience
  • strong planning and organizing skills
  • comfort with computer technology and office automation
  • expertise in material, human and financial resources management
  • experience leading a diverse workforce
  • solid project management skills
  • excellent judgment
  • stamina to complete all the tasks of an election within a very short and legislated timeframe
  • ability to commit part-time hours towards event readiness
  • energy and flexibility to work more than full-time during an election period
