Brine Room Attendant

Brine Room Attendant at Saputo responsible for overall sanitation of the Brine Room, adding salt to the Brine Maker, and maintaining brine salinity (target 94%), brine and flume filter cleaning, vat separation checks after RMC, monitoring salinity and cheese temperatures, taking vat samples to the Lab, and supporting cheese flow to the packing room. Duties include daily/4-hourly cleanings, fogging the brine room, loading vats into cages, foaming of the flume and overhead piping, and ensuring food safety and food quality. Physical demands include lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for long periods, repetitive bending, reaching, and the use of PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, rubber gloves, boots) in a cold, damp industrial environment with acids/chlorine chemicals; environment ranges from 35°F to 130°F. Hourly rate is $24.15.
