Job Summary
Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities, focusing on geriatric mental health. Duties include assessing mental status, diagnosing DSM-V disorders, developing treatment plans, applying psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments, and staffing clinical cases with psychiatrists. Requires Colorado nursing licensure in psychiatry, Colorado pharmacy license to prescribe controlled substances (DEA), malpractice insurance, and at least 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience within SNFs or acute rehab settings. Bilingual in Spanish a plus. Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Colorado by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
- Possession of Malpractice Insurance
- 1 year of Geri Psych Experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
