Job Summary
Brightlife Kids internship supporting community engagement for California’s behavioral health initiative. Interns partner with Community Engagement Leads to promote social and emotional well-being for children 12 and under, at local events (fairs, school gatherings). Responsibilities include leading conversations, engaging families, representing Brightline at events, coordinating with mentors, and building skills in outreach, public speaking, event execution, and documentation. Hours average 8 per week, paid at $20/hour with driving time paid; high school completion and 18+ required; Spanish proficiency is a major plus; reliable transportation required; opportunity for academic credit depending on university requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Able to commit to a minimum of 8 hours per week to attend community events within a 1-hour driving radius from where you live
- 18 years or older and have completed high school or equivalent
- Access to reliable transportation to commute to in-person events
- Proficiency in languages beyond English and Spanish are a plus (beneficial)
- Proficiency in Spanish is a major plus
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills
- Experience working with multicultural populations
- Ability to work with families and communities in behavioral health settings
