Job Summary
Provide developmentally appropriate preschool instruction using a play-based curriculum aligned with DCF standards, collaborate with the Director of Family Literacy Expansion and ECE Co-Teacher to implement the Grace Place Family Literacy Model® across the two-generation program, support families through Parent Time and home visits, supervise volunteers, monitor and document student progress, and ensure a safe, engaging classroom environment while fulfilling two home visits per year and meeting program expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent
- A.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, and/or related field
- Minimum of two years of teaching or supervising experience in early childhood setting (preferred)
- Background checks including fingerprinting
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- DCF training hours (45 hours) and 10 hours of in-service training per year
- Ability to meet mobility and physical demands of working with young children
- Commitment to Grace Place mission and values
- Bilingual and bi-cultural skills desirable
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word
