Job Summary
Oversee the scope, schedule, budget, and delivery of major bridge and highway structures projects for state road and highway initiatives, ensuring successful execution from inception to close-out. Lead interdisciplinary teams of engineers and professionals to deliver high-quality results while acting as the primary liaison with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to negotiate scope changes and secure additional work. Prepare written reports and briefings for stakeholders, develop project execution and quality assurance plans, and monitor progress to address potential cost overruns or delays. Requires a PE license, 15+ years of experience, and location in Hartford, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 15+ years of experience in engineering design and project management for bridge and structures projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and familiarity with Federal and State-funded bridge projects
- Proven ability to manage projects, interface with clients, and contribute technically to project designs
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Located in the Hartford, CT geographical area
