Job Summary
Conduct bridge load rating analyses, design structural packages, and perform condition assessments for 82 bridges and 23 bridges in Structural Package B. Execute structural design, CAD work, and drawing reviews while overseeing bridge, tunnel, station, and parking garage inspections. Review inspection reports, produce all CAD documentation, and sign or seal engineering documents as the Structural Engineer of Record. Attend weekly meetings at WMATA Headquarters and prepare correspondence and action lists. Work primarily from a home office under the direction of the WMATA Task Manager, supporting maintenance efforts across Plant Maintenance, Elevators and Escalators Services, and Metro Parking Operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in AASHTO bridge or building structural design
- PE license in MD, VA, or DC
- Experience as Engineer of Record
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural design tools
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as Engineer of Record
