Job Summary
Manage structural tasks on conventional and complex multi-discipline projects from pursuits through construction. Supervise preparation of structural drawings, perform and manage load ratings using finite element methods, and lead design checks to ensure code compliance. Coordinate with engineers and technicians for accurate deliverables, review shop drawings and construction estimates, and prepare technical specifications. Develop cost-saving modifications through value engineering and support proposal development with strong technical writing. Maintain scope, schedule, and budget adherence for structural tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from ABET Accredited University
- 10 + years of bridge design and analysis experience
- Texas P.E. or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with finite element analysis and bridge design software
- Familiarity with AASHTO, TxDOT design and construction standards
- Construction stage analysis experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, flexible, and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Masters of Science from ABET Accredited University focusing on structures (preferred)
