Job Summary
Bridge Maintenance Specialist responsible for maintaining and repairing roadways, highways, bridges and structures. Operates a wide variety of light and heavy equipment; sets up and tears down traffic control operations; supervises or participates in weather-related operations including snow removal, plowing, deicing and sanding; maintains drainage systems, digs and cleans ditches, repairs culverts, inlets and erosion; repairs guardrails, barriers, milepost markers, delineators and fences; performs routine equipment service and minor repairs; conducts rigging and scaffolding for fixed, hanging, swing, and traveling scaffolding; works in diverse environments with exposure to noise, heights, weather, and hazardous materials; may need to work after hours, weekends, or holidays for emergency response.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience performing basic highway maintenance work; OR Two years of general landscaping, maintenance, mechanical, farming, logging, and/or construction experience or training.
