Bridge Inspection Team Assistant

The Bridge Inspection Team Assistant will support NBIS highway bridge inspections and other structure condition inspections under the guidance of a certified NBIS Bridge Inspection Team Leader. Responsibilities include assisting with field inspections of bridges and culverts, identifying signs of deterioration, collecting and organizing inspection data on site, entering findings into the WIGINS software, and supporting the overall inspection workflow to ensure thorough, timely, and compliant reporting. A two-year technical associate degree is required; one year of bridge inspection experience is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft suite, reading technical drawings, and knowledge of NCDOT WIGINS. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. A valid NC driver’s license is required.
