Job Summary
Bridge Inspection Project Manager responsible for overall management of bridge and highway projects for local municipalities and NCDOT, including design, communications, personnel management, budgets, schedules, quality control, and client relationships. Manages services up to $1M in revenue, develops technical and price proposals, statements of interests, amendments, and schedules, and prepares workload forecasting reports. Ensures compliance with environmental, survey, and permitting requirements; applies Codes and Standards to project designs; promotes and supports QA/QC processes to reduce design errors; prepares and coordinates contract agreements; identifies new markets and leads business development efforts; coaches and mentors project team members; conducts annual performance evaluations and career development planning; manages project risk per company policy. Preferred candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, 10+ years of experience, and PE licensure, with knowledge of MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and Open Bridge Designer considered a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ job-related experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or strong licensure in field of expertise preferred
- NCDOT experience preferred
- Knowledge of MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team; strong leadership and time-management skills
- Excellent communication with clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, and external sources; proficient in public speaking and presentations
