Job Summary
Determine creative and innovative methods for complex bridge engineering problems while ensuring designs comply with Federal, State, and local agency requirements. Provide specifications, estimations, quantity calculations, and technical reports; review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses. Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents for intermediate to large scale projects. This summer internship offers direct mentorship with Infrastructure design experts on major area and regional projects. You will expand engineering technical skills through collaboration within a world-class team focused on critical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Prior transportation or structural engineering coursework
- Bachelors and/or Masters degrees in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
- Interest and ability to work on multiple bridge or roadway projects at once
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High knowledge level of MS Office tools
- CAD proficiency
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of industry standards and applicable engineering software
Desired Qualifications
- EIT
- Prior internship experience
- Microstation
