Job Summary
The Bridge Engineer is responsible for planning and designing bridge projects for both private and public entities. Key duties include directing design plans, preparing engineering documents, monitoring project budgets, performing structural calculations, and serving as a client contact. Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of bridge design experience, and a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in bridge design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) license in ND or MN within 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using structural analysis programs
- Experience on a variety of state and local engineering projects
- Proven ability to develop and produce construction plans and documents using AutoDesk or Bentley design software
- Ability to prepare engineering records and to write concise technical reports
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines
