Job Summary
Design and plan bridge structures including steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder, and reinforced concrete slab types in accordance with applicable design specifications. Conduct structural analysis to ensure the strength and safety of highway structures, then prepare structural designs and contract documents containing drawings, specifications, and estimates. Perform calculations for designing bridges and transportation structures using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software while participating in preparing project budgets and schedules. A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural major is required, along with knowledge of AutoCAD and bridge design software. Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete and bridge layout is preferred.

- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural major or emphasis
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with co-workers and clients, both in verbal and written form
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete is preferred
- Knowledge of layout and design of bridges and highway structures is preferred
