Bridge Design Engineering Associate

Entry-level Engineering Associate on the professional Engineer license track to apply basic to intermediate engineering principles to complete design computations, prepare written technical reports, design plans, and details. The Engineering Associate may be called upon to make minor project decisions. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design computations, plan designs, and drawings; reviewing submittals and coordinating project submissions; preparing and reviewing specifications, draft letters, and written technical reports; completing inspections and field work; researching and interpreting regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements; maintaining project documentation; applying Codes and Standards; developing technically accurate drawings; supporting QA/QC processes to improve deliverables; working within assigned budgets. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in an ABET-accredited engineering field; Experience: no prior work required, internships preferred; Licensure/Certification: Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred. Proficiency with Microstation, Open Roads, InRoads, and related software; strong communication, organizational and time management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
