Job Summary
Manage construction office and project administration by processing field reports, technical data, and materials test reports while controlling contract documents. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, then process RFIs, submittals, progress pay applications, extra work billings, and contract change orders. Support CM project managers with field activity coordination and scheduling, and assist with CM group invoicing. May coach or guide a subordinate group. This role requires a minimum of two years of bridge construction inspection experience on NJDOT projects, NICET II or higher certification, and the ability to perform complex engineering computations. The position offers a salary range of $40.00-$65.00 hourly for full-time employment in the greater New Jersey area.
Required Qualifications
- prior construction inspection experience on NJDOT projects
- NICET II, III or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction
- NJSAT certification
- ACI – CCTC certification
- Rutgers TCC certification
- excellent communications skills
- ability to read and interpret plans, and specifications
- ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations
- physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains
- ability to repetitively stoop, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 25 lbs
- ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
- valid driver's license
- clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification
