Job Summary
Measure distances and mark guidelines on working surfaces to prepare for laying down work. Prepare, build, and install wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridges, drain structures, walls, and additional structures on commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects. Assist with the installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs when decking is removed. Utilize a carpenter's belt with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to execute tasks. This role supports the I-40 Reconstruction project in Asheville, NC, within the Building, Transportation, and Water Divisions.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 Years Verifiable Experience
- Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Good manual dexterity
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
