Job Summary
Produce wort within specifications in the brewhouse, transfer product to fermenters, and perform yeast handling activities to support fermentation processes. Operate brewing equipment including centrifuges and filters, supply the packaging department with high-quality bright beer, and maintain accurate operational records through data entry and spreadsheet calculations. Clean-in-place brewing equipment, tanks, and centrifuges, remove waste materials, and handle raw materials such as malt and hops while adhering to sanitation and WHMIS requirements. This onsite position requires a Bachelor of Science degree or Brewing College Diploma, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to stand for extended periods with occasional heavy lifting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or Brewing College Diploma
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of CIP systems, brewery cleaning chemicals, and WHMIS requirements
- Strong mathematical and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Positive attitude with the ability to multitask and work reliably in a team environment
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing occasional medium to heavy lifting (up to 30 kg)
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production environment
- Ability to perform duties to a high standard with minimal supervision
- Ability to operate a forklift; in-house training and certification provided
- Successful completion of a brewing knowledge assessment

- Hands-on brewing experience considered an asset
