Job Summary
Provide instructional services to educate all students to high standards in alignment with district, state, and federal requirements.Responsibilities span across elementary to secondary levels with school-year scheduling (7:45am-3:45pm elementary; 7:10am-3:10pm middle/high schools; half-days). Must hold or be eligible for Indiana teaching licensure and meet endorsed/endorsement requirements (including Early Literacy/Science of Reading training for Grade 3 retention). The role requires applying effective instructional practices, developing lesson plans, and delivering instruction in line with state and federal guidelines. Opportunities are tied to Brentwood & Northcrest locations in Fort Wayne, IN, with full-time employment and benefits. Desired qualifications include knowledge of intervention strategies for Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention, and ability to collaborate within district expectations and provide instruction across assigned grade levels/subjects.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana teaching license for assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR eligible to obtain an alternative teaching credential
- REPA/REPA 3 licensure options for Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention
- Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement requirement for teachers serving retained Grade 3 students (minimum 25 hours of approved Science of Reading training)
- Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans; knowledge of practices, theories, procedures, and techniques used in classroom instruction
