Job Summary
Operate assigned vehicles safely along designated routes while conducting daily safety inspections and reporting issues promptly. Maintain punctuality, communicate professionally with passengers and dispatchers, and provide customer service by assisting riders with route information and ADA boarding needs. Submit accurate electronic logs and incident reports via two-way radio or hands-free tools. Requires a valid CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements, a clean driving record, and ability to pass DOT physical and background checks. Schedule includes split shifts, weekends, and holidays; compensation and benefits vary by position.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Passenger (P) endorsement
- Airbrake endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Ability to operate a coach vehicle safely for extended periods (up to 1 hour and 45 minutes without a break)
- Comfortable with split shifts and flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Capable of driving in various weather and terrain conditions
- Familiarity with GPS, route navigation apps, and onboard technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
