Breeder Field Representative

Job Summary
Oversee breeder farms and flocks as a Company representative to contracted growers, monitoring house conditions, bird welfare, and flock metrics such as mortality rates and egg production. Provide expert technical advice on building specifications, litter manipulation, and biosecurity while evaluating farm conditions against regulatory guidelines. Recommend improvements, resolve issues, and track feed inventory to ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state laws. Communicate unacceptable conditions to management and follow up on resolutions. Maintain zero-accident culture by adhering to safety initiatives and PPE requirements. Work in dusty, hot environments with daily outside exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years' live poultry experience in a similar environment
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements surrounding animal welfare and food production
- Ability to identify noncompliance of guidelines and regulatory requirements and provide consultative recommendations based on expertise to growers on conditions of farm and/or flock
- Strong computer (i.e. Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.) and math skills
- Must have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate in English
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required
- Read and understand MSDS sheets
- Maintain updated knowledge and training/ certification on relevant safety topics
- Ability to lift 50 lbs; occasionally required to lift overhead
- Walks in an outside environment (including inclement weather conditions) on a daily basis
- Must have the ability to work in high altitudes and elevated areas
- Constantly subject to dusty and hot environments
- May be exposed to loud equipment with noise over 85 decibels requiring hearing protection
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in Poultry Science, Agricultural Science or related field preferred
